Privacy statement

As of 1 May 2018 it is mandatory to post a privacy statement on your blog as a blogger in order to comply with the European Privacy Act. insideofherpassport.com respects your privacy and takes the protection of your personal data seriously. Appropriate measures have therefore been taken to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.

 

 Personal data

When you leave a comment, the following information you provide is collected: your name, e-mail address and IP address. This information will only be used to get in touch with you.

 

What are these data use for?

Think of living a comment. When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page of the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

 

How long we keep your data

When you leave a comment, that comment and the metadata of that comment will be saved forever. This way we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of having to moderate them.

Third parties
insideofherpassport.com will never sell your personal data to third parties and will not keep your personal data longer than is necessary to achieve the above goals. Your data will only be provided to third parties if the third party sends the prize directly to you, but only after I have received written permission from you. Your information will also be provided to third parties in order to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies

Google Analytics

Google Analytics cookies are used. insideofherpassport.com has signed a processor agreement with Google. The last octet of the IP address of visitors is masked and therefore anonymous. insideofherpassport.com does not share data with Google, this is disabled. insideofherpassport.com does not use other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies.

To give website visitors more influence on how their data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on communicates with the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) to indicate that no information about the website visit may be sent to Google Analytics. If you use a different browser: use the settings for the cookies via the pop-up at the bottom of the website.

 

Request for inpection, correction or removal

You as a visitor have the right to correct or delete your personal data. Think of a posted comment that you want to have removed in retrospect. Mail your request to insideofherpassport_nl@gmail.com. I will be happy to help you as soon as possible, but within the set period of 4 weeks, by responding to your request.

 

File a complaint

If you have the impression that the data is not secure, there are indications of misuse, or if you want more information about the security of personal data collected by insideofherpassport.com, you can file a complaint by sending an e-mail to insideofherpassport_nl@gmail.com.

Under the Privacy Act you also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority against these processing of personal data. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority via this link. 

 

Media

If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the site can download the images from the site and view the location data.
